Protip for CPU heating problems: if you're using the stock heatsink/fan, that's why. Stock fans are generally absolute crap. Even something cheap like this will outperform most stock heatsinks/fans. Ed: nvm, I'm blind, I didn't see you had a custom fan. Rifterlings - Small gang lowsec combat corp specializing in frigates and cruisers (all races, not just Rifters!). I built with the stock fan for some ungodly reason that I can't pinpoint (read: derp moment). This fan should be here in another day so that'll alleviate the problem, but I'm still curious about water cooling. I'm reading an article right now on Toms Hardware about it. The idea of liquid in my PC still scares me, but.... who knows. AFAIK, liquid cooling is just as viable as air/fan cooling. It only gets really good if you throw thousands of dollars at it and do something like liquid nitrogen cooling (which sounds awesome).
The one big plus of liquid cooling is that it's silent. Even then, the bigger the fan you get for an air cooling system, the quieter it will be, so... your choice.
